Is it easy to find new quests, or as u said how it is a very big environment, easy to miss? Do you also have a quest log or manual to track these quests, but i understand that they will be unmarked as u said.

Fairly easy to find new quests. They usually end up being given to you by other survivors you come across during the main story, or by actions you take whilst exploring. You do have a quest log to track these with and can change whether or not they provide markers for you to follow some that require finding a person will need that marker activated via a terminal in the game, not just your mission log.

Ok that's good. Overall, would u recommend getting prey while it's on sale?? The only thing I was cautious of was the fetch quests and level by level design I mentioned earlier like dishonored which I'm not a fan of. I would recommend it, yes, especially now it's on sale. Warc1 View Profile View Posts. The game is not structured in linear levels where you go in one direction from one to the next.

One map is the exterior of the station and 11 are interior areas. Moving from one map to the next requires a stop in gameplay for the next map to load and for you to spawn inside.

This does take a toll on game immersion, but having an exterior level goes a long way to rectify that. For example, Bioshock had a similar level structure, but it never felt like a tangible place to me because the broken-up levels never felt like a singular game world.

I would categorize the gameplay as being a hybrid of linear and free roaming styles. Otherwise, once you unlock a map, you are free to return at any time and many of the side missions will require it.

There are some fetch mission, but they do not predominate. There is enough variety in the side missions that I found most worthwhile and not just busy work.

There is an element of a central base, being your office. However, missions are generally not dispensed from there and it mainly comes into play in some side missions. There is one element of the map structure that I truly hate. The 11 interior maps are grouped into three zones for which a central elevator provides quick travel between them.

Instead, you wait to call the elevator, wait while you travel on the elevator, get off and wait again in front of a door while the level loads. It defeats the whole purpose of fast travel and is really immersion destroying. All that being said, I very much like the game and do recommend it. It is in the running for my game of the year, recognizing that the year is still relatively young. Last edited by Warc1 ; 24 Jun, pm.

Thanks for your response. I see what you mean with the stations and loading into it with the elevator etc.
